Cassie and Jack’s Hyatt Regency Bethesda Wedding was a highlight of our spring! Cassie and Jack are very kind and sweet people. They knew they wanted a planner and once they determined what level of service they wanted from a planner, they were all in. They sought Maya’s advice and experience regularly with all aspects of the wedding leading up to the wedding day.

It is very obvious that they both care very deeply for each other and their families (and friends). While they had certain things they knew they wanted to incorporate in their wedding (favorite poses, choreographed portions of their First Dance), they never let that get in the way of the most important thing, they were getting married.

Jack might have the current label as the most organized groom ever – he always came with a list of questions to meetings, he had his groomsmen arrive 40 minutes before the wedding rehearsal, he kept his groomsmen organized (he prepared a very detailed groomsmen document for them), and he planned and choreographed a dance for Cassie performed by him and his groomsmen.

Wedding Day

They had many moments throughout their day to include and honor their loved ones. During the ceremony and reception, a photo of Jack’s dad and flowers were placed on a seat to remember him. While Jack and his mom had their mother-son dance, Jack’s father’s jacket was brought out. It was a jacket that had been used in countless wedding celebrations for over a generation.

Each of the tables were named for places special to Cassie and Jack. Cassie and Jack’s officiant was Cassie’s uncle James while her grandfather Don delivered the homily. Their beloved dog, Puddles, played a prominent role in their signature cocktails as well as their cocktail signage. His dad’s brother, Tony, made an incredibly emotional toast at the wedding that had people in tears, including Maya.

While there were many emotional moments, there were countless entertaining, fun moments as well! As mentioned, Jack and his groomsmen planned a special groom and groomsmen dance for Cassie and it was one of the best things we’ve ever seen – the photos are hilarious!

Thank you to Cassie for this kind review:

My husband and I booked H&L full service and it was the best decision for our wedding. Maya was with us every step of the way from engagement through the end of our wedding day – keeping us on track, answering all of our questions, handling vendors, guests, and everything else. Everything through the entire process went so smoothly because of them, we are so grateful for Maya and would absolutely recommend H&L to anyone looking for wedding planning!

Cheers to Cassie and Jack! Wishing you two all the love and happiness in the world.
