Hello, I’m Maya!

“I’m Maya and I have been passionate about event planning my entire life and feel lucky to work in such a fun industry. I have been planning events for over 20 years, ranging from personal intimate gatherings to events on the Hill to nonprofit galas and dinners to weddings.

I am a proud mama to two kiddos, Ava and Luke, and our sweet puppy, Lily. And can’t thank my husband Tommy enough for supporting my Honey & Lavender Events dream!

I’d love to get to know you and your vision for your next life’s event.”

Founder & CEO

Hello, I’m JULES!

“Ever since I can remember, I’ve been a planner in every aspect of my life. Whether it’s planning family vacations, creating itineraries for girls trips or making organized spreadsheets.

For me, event planning is about connecting with others and making an idea come to fruition. It’s so rewarding to see people’s faces light up when they walk into an event and I love that I can be a part of some of the happiest moments of their lives. Outside of H&L, I’m a seasoned marketer, always looking for the latest trends on social media. In my free time, you can find me supporting local artists at DC music venues, Flash and Culture.

I’m originally from Ocean City, MD, and moved to the Baltimore area after my undergrad in Communications and PR at Towson University. I currently live in Alexandria, VA and I love the balance of living by the water and being so close to the city. I’m a beach girl by heart, but the city life is where I feel most alive.”

Lead Planner

Hello, I’m Darcy!

“In 2019 I left the corporate world and took the leap into wedding planning! Planning events, holidays, family gatherings and parties has always been a passion of mine and to turn it into my career has been the dream. Being with people on their favorite days is so much fun and a huge honor. In addition to wedding planning, I’m also a virtual assistant for wedding professionals. While Ohio is my home base, I travel to DC often to work in person with my H&L team!

I’m originally from Cleveland, Ohio and have lived in many places including Montana, Washington DC, Austin, and Columbus. I’ve loved all of these places, but I’m a Midwest girl at heart and Ohio is home. Personally, I love road trips, Cleveland sports (for better or worse), laughing at the latest GIFs, meeting new people, and spending time with family, especially my niece and nephews.”

Lead Planner

Hello, I’m Christina!

“I love seeing all the pieces come together for an event and being a part of people’s celebrations and special moments. Event planning has been a core aspect of my work across various full-time roles, and I’ve appreciated strengthening this muscle even further through Honey & Lavender Events.

I love the privilege of implementing a client’s vision and making every event smooth and stress-free, so all my clients can breathe, be present, and fully soak in the moment. I have a good eye for detail and enjoy organizing everything from coordinating with vendors to managing detailed timelines. I’m also a natural problem solver, ready to handle any last-minute hiccups that pop up.

I’m originally from New York City and when I’m not of working, I have a passion for travel and finding inspiration in different cultures and finding the best bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwich!”

Lead Planner

Hello, I’m Olivia!

“I love event planning and every step of the process — from the beginning stages to the final product. For me, event planning is about connecting with people and making their vision come to life. In addition to being an Event Assistant with H&L, I am a full-time graduate student at Georgetown University pursuing a Master of Arts in Security Studies.

I am originally from Lexington, Kentucky but have been in Washington, D.C. for my undergraduate and now graduate studies. I am so excited to connect with everyone and be a small portion of your happiest memories!”

What Our Clients Say…

“I photographed a wedding that Christina at Honey & Lavender produced at Iron Gate Restaurant in DC. In the lead up to the event she was very communicative and flexible, easy to flesh out a photo timeline with, and even helped location scout the venues and shared photos with me ahead of time! Working alongside her and Jasmine on the day of was a breeze. They pulled together a beautiful day, helped me move the couple from venue to venue, organized family for photos on a super tight timeline (a massive help and not something coordinators always assist with!!). More than that, she was generally super nice and funny to work with! A delight. Would love to team up again. Definitely recommend hiring and/or working with Christina if you want an easy day and happy vendor team! :)”
