Nicole and Eliot’s surprise wedding at Tudor Place was such an exciting day! Guests were told they were coming to an engagement party but would be surprised with a wedding ceremony and then reception at the bride and groom’s home. The wedding was kept a surprise, but some guests to put the pieces together. However, it was no less exciting and still such a unique day! During the ceremony the couple had printed vows for her father to read as he is near deaf. Nicole wore her mother’s veil and it was the perfect balance of traditional mixed with Nicole’s style.

After the ceremony, the couple got a McDonald’s milkshake. On Eliot’s side of the family, everyone who gets married gets a McDonald’s milkshake after the ceremony. Eliot’s grandparents were very poor when they got married and didn’t have much to their name after their ceremony but to celebrate, they shared a McDonald’s milkshake. This is such a sweet tradition and we love how Nicole and Eliot honored their families by continuing the tradition.

Nicole and Eliot really wanted to celebrate in their home as they are proud of the life and home they have built together the past 5 years. They also had love poems and songs for each guest as an ice breaker during cocktail hour. The couple cut a beautiful cake and danced with friends and family. A day starting with a surprise wedding at Tudor Place ended with sharing beautiful wedding memories in the home they have built with each other. Cheers to Nicole and Eliot!
