Victoria and Eli were supposed to get married May 2020. And as the COVID Wedding Story goes they had to quickly pivot to an intimate wedding ceremony that year, and wait until February 2022 to have their dream reception, (with a couple of reschedules in between). Well, the third time was definitely the charm for this intentional, thoughtful, and kind couple. Victoria and Eli’s Epic Wedding Weekend finally happened!

While we relished the extra time we got to spend with Victoria and Eli because of a pandemic, it was especially special for us to witness big changes in their lives separately and as a married couple and for them to see Honey & Lavender grow and adapt. Victoria kept kicking butt at work, Eli made a career change, and they purchased and moved into a new home during COVID. And in the words of Victoria ” when we first began planning our wedding, you still had a full time job, Maya. Now you are this successful, sought after planner, with an amazing full-time business and team”.

The wedding weekend kicked off with a Welcome Reception at Vanish Farmwoods Brewery Friday night.

That was followed by a 5k Run with a Bagel Breakfast on Saturday (yes, the morning of their wedding!) Both Victoria and Eli are avid runners.

Victoria painted this sign that doubled as a welcome sign for the Welcome Reception and the wedding on Saturday at Riverside on the Potomac.
Welcome Bags created for guests to receive at the Welcome Reception and Wedding.
Medals runners received after crossing the Finish Line (cutouts of their beloved dog Atlas).

Portraits

Victoria is an amazing woman of many talents, and one of those talents is her creativity and artistry.

One of her favorite artists is Van Goh, so she and Eli decided to design their wedding using Van Goh’s Starry Night as a guide and inspiration. The ways Victoria weaved this painting throughout the wedding was a stroke of genius.

The Wedding Dress

The Wedding Party

Each of the bridesmaids skirts was a Van Goh painting, as was each of the groomsmen ties.

Ceremony

Signing the Ketubah.

The Flowers

Victoria and Eli’s incredible florist Nikki really leaned into the theme and found a way to design the ceremony arch flowers and the bridesmaids bouquets using the same hues from Starry Night.

Reception

The reception is really where Victoria’s talent shined. She drew and painted everything.

The Guest Book

This photo booth bus was such a fun addition to the wedding!

The Tablescapes and Centerpieces

We loved that they dedicated a special place to display photos of current and passed loved ones at their reception.

Purple Onion Catering absolutely killed it with the food, savory and sweet.

Cheers to V&E, as the H&L affectionately called them. Being part of your journey, wedding, and vision was a privilege and honor. We are so grateful to have played a small part in Victoria and Eli’s Epic Wedding Weekend!
