To know Maya, is to know her absolute love for the Christmas and Holiday Season! She goes all out with decorations, activities, presents, and an annual soiree to boot.

Given we were still in murky waters with COVID and big groups and entertaining, Maya knew she wasn’t going to throw a merry gathering pre-COVID style, but she still wanted to do something to ring in the season, bring some cheer, and create sweet memories for her family.

Enter an intimate at-home Holiday Tea, 100% planned and executed by someone NOT MAYA. Say what????!

Well that is exactly what Maya did and it was glorious.

Maya hosted (and was treated like a guest for once thanks to The Party Bee!) a special holiday tea party where children and adults noshed on delicious tea sandwiches and an assortment of sweets, drank yummy lavender tea, poinsettias, and sparkling cider.

The Party Bee is an event planning company that offers fully designed party services with custom curated silver chest rentals and elegant southern comfort food served by our staff or to one of their Party Bee at Home drop-off food requests. All served with southern hospitality, as the owner Kimberley, is from the great state of Mississippi. Maya and Kimberley have collaborated on a couple work events and have become fast Frendors, grabbing coffee every month to chat and bounce business ideas of each other.

Nothing is cuter or fancier than mini sandwiches.
The cutest and tastiest 12 Days of Christmas themed sugar cookies.
Festive Poinsettias greeted the adult guests as they walked in and Little Ones had sparkling cider!

Kimberley, AKA The Party Bee took care of everything. The magical process began with a venue walkthrough at Maya’s house with Kimberley to get a lay of the land and decide where tables and place settings would go, take stock and inventory of the kitchen, and cook up a delicious menu for the party.

The day of, Kimberley’s team arrived three hours early to move furniture and set the rooms up as they had planned during the walkthrough, to decorate and set the table, and to assemble all the delicious food that had been prepared prior to the party, and to put the finishing touches on the drinks.

All Maya (and her guests) had to do was have a wonderful time.

Of course a special guest had to attend the Holiday Tea….

Seeing all the kids faces as Santa entered the house were priceless as they were joyful.

Kids were encouraged to bring their letters to Santa (and in return they received a letter back from the Big Guy himself).

The adults even got some Santa time in.

This will be, without a doubt, a new Christmas and holiday tradition we continue for years and years. It was a ball.
