Maya had a wonderful time working with an incredibly proud and excited Grandma-to-Be planing a fun, unique, and personalized baby shower for her daughter Kristin and Baby Kai due in December!

Deborah knew she wanted to host a baby shower for Kristin, and wanted to incorporate the nursery woodland theme + Kristin’s love for the beach, and knew the things Kristin wouldn’t like, but that was it.

The Honey & Lavender team got to work and after Maya chatted with Deborah a few times, we created a mood board for the sweet event, and once we received Deborah’s blessing, we hit the ground running.

We secured a wonderful vendor team that brought the wow factor in several ways.

  • Grazing Table by LC Designs NYC – can we talk about this beauty? Lauren’s creation was by far the show-stopper of the shower (mama-to-be excluded) – especially since we parked this beauty right smack dab in the middle of the room so it was one of the first things guests noticed.
  • Baked by Braegs impressed per the usual with the adorable and picture-perfect cake and cookie favors.

Notice the subtle nautical nod in the cookies?

We presented Deborah with a list of possible baby games and activities to do during the shower.

She picked two games (Don’t Say Baby Clothespin and the Celebrity Baby game) and decorating onesies for Baby Kai to wear through various months in his life.

We also asked guests to drop parental tidbits in a jar for “messages in a bottle” for the new parents to read.

We came up with a menu that fit the theme and took into consideration the late-afternoon timing of the shower and guests dietary restrictions and preferences.

We ordered an assortment of sandwiches and chips from a local deli, made a signature mocktail (a Mojito, Kristin’s favorite bevie of choice). Guests noshed on all the goodies on the grazing table and sweet treats available.

We made our mood board vision come to life.

And perhaps the most fun of all, we had a ball sourcing all kinds of materials and items from Amazon, Target, Michaels, and Trader Joe’s to create the whimsical and nature-like ambiance both Deborah and Kristin wanted in the form of centerpieces for guest tables, a welcome station, and an area where Kristin could open presents.

Congrats Deborah and Kristin and your beautiful families. Baby Kai you are already so loved!
