Happy New Year!

Hoping you and yours had a wonderful holiday season filled with warmth, love, and joy.

This month, I thought I would share some seasonal party themes I’m really liking lately. (Think wintery sports and comfort food).

  • Winter Olympics – who else is soooo excited for the Winter Olympics next month?! I’ve always toyed (and secretly hoped) that I would be invited to an Olympic-themed party, but no dice so far. It would be so fun to either do an Opening Ceremony Watch Party – complete with food, drinks, and competitive games your guests could play- or a laid back party (brunch-style or afternoon hangout) on a Saturday or Sunday with whatever sport is on at the time, in the background.

Side Note: our winter favorite sports to watch are figure-skating, skiing, and hockey.

  • Bagel Bar/Buffet – a carb lovers dream, am I right? To me, this party theme would be such a light-lift. All you need to do is focus on the bagel bar (and perhaps throw in some mimosas and coffee) and you’re done! The fun is choosing what kinds of bagels to serve and all the fixings and toppings.
  • Olive Oil and Bread Bar – apparently carbs are on our minds right now, but we love this simple, but chic party idea. You’ll be hard pressed to find anyone that doesn’t love bread or some delicious olive oil. It would be really fun and educational to research which olive oils to serve to your guests. Throw in some wine and you’re done.

All right, who is inspired to throw a party now?
