It’s no secret that being featured in The Scout Guide Alexandria’s book was big goal of our owner, Maya, when she launched Honey & Lavender full-time two years ago. When she and her husband, Tommy, attended Honey & Lavender’s inaugural launch party in 2021, Maya vividly remembers telling Tommy that another one of her goals was to help plan the launch party in the future.
Well, fast forward to 2022 and Maya had accomplished another goal, when Sarah, the editor for the Scout Guide reached out asking if Honey & Lavender would be interested in joining the design and planning team for this year’s launch party! To be part of the “event of the season”?! Twist our arms.
Details
Together with Sarah and Jessie of Table Saveur, we designed, coordinated, and executed a charming and fun Bridgerton-themed garden party! To say we had so much fun helping The Scout Guide Alexandria plan its annual launch is an understatement. We enlisted an incredible team of vendors that made pure magic happen, in just a couple of months!
Bar and Drinks
The party started with champagne flutes offered to guests upon arrival, provided by our amazing host for the party, Cedar Knoll.
Cedar Knoll was the perfect place for this launch party as both their indoor and outdoor spaces were perfect for the feel and layout of the party.
Their outdoor patio was pure gold for Something Vintage’s gorgeous Shiloh Bar and bar back.
Local candlemaker, Ohh Soy Goodness created a signature garden scent candle just for the party and its delicious aroma wafted inside and outside.
Vintage Car
The Instagram worthy showstopping piece was a vintage car of Sarah’s. As if the car on its own wasn’t already amazing, in order to make it even better, the amazing florist, Helen Olivia, created a floral installation for the vintage car. Additionally, She did all of party’s other flowers as well. This year’s issue of the Scout Guide being strategically placed on the car completed the look.
Lounge Area
Per garden party rules there had to be lawn games and lounge furniture!
Food and Drinks
The food and beverage options were divine and mouth-watering.
Longtime Scout Guide member, Blum Natural Wines provided so many wine selections to taste and sip on.
Can we talked about this spread from Chef?!
The always on-point and popular Olivia Macaron provided on-brand macarons for the dessert spread.
Entertainment
There was amazing entertainment as well! Not only was there an electric violinist, the amazing Celeste Vee, there was also a Stilt Walker!
Cheers to a wonderful party and an amazing experience. Here’s to next year with The Scout Guide Alexandria!
