With over ten years of fundraising and development experience in the political and nonprofit sector, Maya has an extensive background on development best practices, theory, and hands-on skills. In this time she has directed all fundraising activities that include, but aren’t limited to implementing fundraising systems for online fundraising strategy and grassroots fundraising and building extensive donor, foundation, and corporate sponsor pipelines. She has worked directly with Executive Directors to build and execute a strategic development plan bringing in over $5 million annually, prospecting and stewarding major donors. She has successfully managed a team of development professionals and worked with other programmatic leads to develop and fine tune a holistic vision and purpose that attracts big and bold investments and demonstrates the need for organizations.
